BREWING QUALITY The variety has proved to be quite unusual with a very pleasant, lemon, citrus aroma. Initial brews have proved to be very successful with very distinctive, hoppy characteristics. ORIGIN / HISTORY UK origin. A sister to the new English Herald hop and distantly related to Wye Yeoman. AGRONOMICS Pioneer is resistant to powdery mildew, and has moderate resistance to vertcillium wilt and downy mildew.
